David A. Wind, J.D, M.S.
Principal and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Wind received his bachelor’s degree, in accounting, from Boston University School of Business Management. He received his Juris Doctorate at New York Law School and a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development & Investment from New York University.
Mr. Wind has clerked at the New York State Attorney General’s Real Estate Finance Bureau where he participated in reviews and investigations of real estate cooperative apartment conversions and real estate syndications. Mr. Wind was an analyst at Citicorp Investment Bank and was responsible for investment analysis of mortgage backed investment securities and offerings.
Mr. Wind is the General Partner of Sterling Mortgage Investment Group, L.P., an entity that purchases closed home loans from licensed mortgage bankers and originates commercial loans for its own investment portfolio. He is a licensed New York State Real Estate Broker and Of Counsel to the law firms of Dale, Wind, & Dale, P.C., and Valente & Klein, P.C. In addition, he is a partner in Guaranteed Title Agency, Inc., a New York based title company as agent for Chicago Title Company. Mr. Wind is a member of The New York State Bar Association, The American Bar Association, The Mortgage Bankers Association of New York, The New York Mortgage Brokers Association, the New York Society of Mortgage Professionals and The Young Mortgage Bankers Association. Mr. Wind appears on a variety of business talk shows, both radio and televised. Recently he has appeared live on CNBC to discuss the mortgage business. He is also contributing articles weekly to the New York Daily News Real Estate Section.
